How a frame should sit

The frame should rest evenly on the bridge without pinching. Temples should pass close to the head without pressure points. Lenses should sit high enough that you look through the optical centre, not over the top rim.

Measurements

• Lens width — horizontal size of one lens (mm).
• Bridge — distance between lenses (mm).
• Temple — length of the arm (mm).
• Typical Aureum marking — e.g. 52–20–145.

Face shape guidance

These are starting points, not limits. Most faces wear more than one silhouette well.

Oval

Most shapes work. Try rectangle, aviator, or soft square for definition.

Round

Angular frames (square, rectangle) add structure. Soft rounds can also work if scale is balanced.

Square

Softer rounds, ovals, or aviators balance strong jaw lines.

Heart

Lighter rims, soft cat-eye, or oval — avoid heavy top weight if possible.

Diamond

Frames that widen at the brow or soft cat-eye can balance cheekbones.

Oblong

Deeper lenses and slightly taller frames help vertical proportion.

How to measure

Use a flexible tape or a well-fitting frame you already own. Compare lens and bridge numbers printed on the inner temple. When unsure, book a private fitting.
